The GWHE Board Moms recommend you take a look at the following curricula.
You start by giving your child a placement test and begin the curriculum where THAT child needs to begin. You give a daily test and your child practices only the misspelled words. The lists are organized by phonic rules. This one book is used for MANY years with multiple children. You can print out consumable pages from a CD-ROM.
Student workbook, test booklet, and teacher’s guide are purchased separately. This curriculum helps you, the parent, step through comprehensive lessons.
Good for the kinesthetic child. The child uses colored cards, laid out one at a time, to label each part of speech. The child then labels these in a workbook. Includes student workbook, cards, and teacher’s guide.
